THE THYROID COLLECTION

The gland that
sets your thermostat.

Your thyroid regulates metabolism — the rate at which every cell converts food into energy. When it is not optimally supported, you feel it: fatigue, sluggish mornings, and brain fog. The right nutrients — iodine, tyrosine, selenium, zinc — give your thyroid the raw materials to produce and convert hormones efficiently.*

THYROID 101

What the thyroid does, and how to support it.

The thyroid is your metabolic master gland. Here's how it produces hormones, why conversion from T4 to T3 matters, and which nutrients are essential for optimal thyroid function.*
01

What the Thyroid Does

Your thyroid produces T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine) — hormones that set the metabolic rate of every cell. T4 is the storage form (produced in larger amounts); T3 is the active form (produced in smaller amounts, and converted from T4 in the liver and tissues). Together, they regulate energy, temperature, weight, and mood.

02

The Thyroid Nutrients

Iodine and L-tyrosine are the raw materials your thyroid uses to build T4 and T3. Selenium is essential for the enzyme that converts T4 to active T3. Zinc supports thyroid hormone production and receptor sensitivity. Deficiency in any of these can impair thyroid function, even if your lab results look "normal."

  • L-TYROSINE · HORMONE STRUCTURE
  • SELENIUM · T4 → T3 CONVERSION
  • ZINC · RECEPTOR SENSITIVITY
03

The Conversion Problem

Many people produce enough T4 but can't convert it efficiently to active T3. This conversion depends on selenium, zinc, and healthy liver function. Stress, inflammation, and nutrient deficiencies can all impair conversion — leaving you with "normal" labs but thyroid-related symptoms. This is why nutrient support matters even with normal TSH.*

What to Look For

Potassium iodide (not kelp, which varies wildly in iodine content), free-form L-tyrosine, selenomethionine (the most bioavailable selenium), and zinc picolinate. Every product comes with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for verified potency. That's the only kind we carry.*
