The Macula & Carotenoids
The macula is the center of your retina — responsible for sharp, detailed vision. It's yellow because it's packed with lutein and zeaxanthin, two carotenoids that filter blue light and neutralize free radicals. Your body can't make them; they must come from food or supplements.
