What Is It?

UltraKrill+D is an odorless, enhanced potency krill/ fish oil blend combined with vitamin D3. It provides 588 mg phospholipids, 210 mg EPA and 126 mg DHA per serving. EPA and DHA bound to phospholipids, as found naturally in krill, allows for increased bioavailability of EPA and DHA, since phospholipids provide enhanced transport of fatty acids into cells. This efficiency means less EPA and DHA are required per serving to provide omega-3 health benefits.*

What Is The Source?

Omega-3 fatty acids are derived from Antarctic krill (shellfish), Euphausia superba, sardines and anchovies. This krill oil blend is obtained from a sustainable and eco-friendly supply chain aimed to maintain the conservation of marine living resources by sourcing its krill biomass only from CCAMLR† Member monitored vessels and facilities. Vitamin D3 is derived from the cholesterol in lanolin, the fat found in wool. Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions?

If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product. Theoretically, krill oil may have side effects similar to fish oils, including burping, gastrointestinal upset or indigestion, nausea, diarrhea or abdominal bloating. It is recommended that individuals taking more than 2,000 i.u. vitamin D per day have their blood levels monitored. Large doses of vitamin D can cause hypercalcemia, signs include headache, weakness, nausea, vomiting, and constipation. Individuals with hyperparathyroidism or kidney disease are at particular risk. Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions?

Krill oil may be contra-indicated with blood thinning medications. Vitamin D may result in hypercalcemia in certain individuals taking digoxin or thiazide diuretics. Consult your physician for more information.
