Curcumin offers additional cellular protection. Luteolin is a key component found in artichoke. Research suggests that it promotes healthy matrix metalloproteinase activity to support hepatic cell regeneration and liver tissue health. N-Acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a precursor of the endogenous antioxidant glutathione. In the body, NAC restores glutathione levels in the liver and helps protect the liver from toxic metabolites produced during normal detoxification processes. Milk thistle extract is derived from Silybum marianum fruit and standardized to contain 80% silymarin. Turmeric extract is derived from Curcuma longa root and standardized to contain 95% curcuminoids. Artichoke extract is derived from Cynara scolymus L . leaf and standardized to typically contain 5% cynarins. Alpha lipoic acid is synthetic. N-acetyl-l-cysteine is derived from duck feather. Luteolin is derived from Chrysanthemum indicum L. leaf. Ascorbyl palmitate is derived from corn dextrose fermentation and palm oil.

Are There Any Potential Side Effects Or Precautions?
If pregnant or lactating, consult your physician before taking this product. Some ingredients may cause gastrointestinal discomfort in certain individuals, including cramping, flatus, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or dyspepsia. In rare cases, alpha lipoic acid may cause skin rash in sensitive individuals. Rare side effects of n-acetyl-l-cysteine and milk thistle include headache, dry mouth, itching and dizziness. Milk thistle and artichoke should be avoided by individuals with allergies to members of the aster ( Compositea/Asteraceae ) family, daisies, artichoke, kiwi or thistle. Artichoke and curcumin should be used with caution in patients with bile duct obstruction.
Are There Any Potential Drug Interactions?
Some studies have reported that milk thistle and curcumin can alter the way that the liver breaks down medications metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system, altering the effects of these medications and possibly the dose needed for treatment. Curcumin may react with blood thinning medications. Consult your physician for more information.
